About Us |
"A great family restaurant in Mount Holly" |
 |
|
Currently:
We are a friendly corner bar located right next to
the Burlington County Courthouse. We have great
food and a tremendous staff. Everyone always feels
welcome here. We have live music Thursday, Friday
and Saturday nights, with many of hottest local bands
around. Once you are here once, we promise you'll
come back. Our weekend favorite on our menu is
$11.99 All You Can Eat Crab Legs on both Friday and
Saturday nights. We look forward to seeing you
soon.
A Little History:
The corner where the building resides was a stage coach
stop from the mid 1700's until the late 1800's. The building
was erected by Abraham Scattergood in 1888; he lived here
and conducted a large copper shop nearby, doing business
up and down the Rancocas River (Creek). He passed away
shortly after the home was built and was then |

as the Columbia Hotel until 1893 by Charles Hires. In
1893, it was purchased by Mr. James Entwhistle Berry and
his wife Mary E. Berry. The Hotel and Bar were run and
owned by the Berry family until 1954. It was then purchased
by Lawrence (Buzz) and Mary Jones and the name was changed
to Buzz's Bar. It was operated by the Jones family until
1990 when John (son of Buzz) and Alice Jones sold the
Tavern to Greg Lyons and his brothers. It was operated
by the Lyons family, eventually owned by Joyce Lyons and
sold to Mark Evans and partners in November of 2003. Mark
purchased the Tavern from his partners in April of 2006
and is currently the Sole Proprietor. |
